aaand we close out this chapter with a lady sittin’ on the floor, looking smug.
I’m sorry to leave you on a cliffhanger before a longer-than-usual chapter break, but my schedule has been a bit hectic lately, and I need the extra time. I’ll be filling the Patreon-posting schedule with a sketchcomic and that Q&A, anyhow! (remember to send in your questions, if you’ve got any!)
The date of the start of chapter 9 has not yet been decided, but will be announced on Twitter! ->

I kinda felt she was up to no good…
Yeah, I never trusted her. She obviously has ulterior motives. Like sending an innocent little girl to her almost-certain death just to motivate a stranger to go and try to solve their problems.
Well, it’s either that, or “Sit around waiting for the cranky stranger to do something, until everyone in the castle is killed.”
I mean, needs of the many, and all that.
I don’t think Akane is in any danger… She just straight up lied about it to make him head outside and face the mist.
We’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we? 😀
her face reads “good grief!”
I love your characters; they are full of ‘grey areas’. Tsukiko is manipulative here, but doing it in the hopes of saving the Princess and her community. Masahiro isn’t into the uh…blue transformation? but is fueled by needing to save a child. This will be interesting. :3c
Thank you! <3 I like grey areas in my characters; moral absolutes can get a bit boring.
Yup I agree! I like when characters have conflicts and challenges; it’s very much like real life.
Hang on…DADDY’S ON THE WAY….!!!!!!
You’re lucky your boss is a such a nice lady Groucho. Changes the whole dynamic. If you were the honcho, I doubt M would let you off so easily.
